Throwing it away. Tak nak.

September 28th, 2007 4 comments

Yesterday I decided to throw away my collection of cigarette boxes that have been sitting in my antique display cabinet in the living room. You can’t find some of these at the shop here. Some are from Africa. Some are from the US. Cigarette box is quite handy for storing AA batteries for the camera and some other small stuffs.

However, I have quit smoking and this collection is going away. My mom is giving it to his friend… who so happen also like to collect these rubbish.

Tough bike for war

September 24th, 2007 2 comments

The motorbike that the Germans used during Europe blitzkrieg in the 40s. BMW R75 with a sidecar unit. Anyone still remember the show Born To Ride starring John Stamos in the 90s. That motorcycle show had me grown fond for this German marque however…. not the yankees’.

During WWII, BMW produced the BMW R75 motorcycle with a sidecar attached. Unusually, the sidecar’s wheel was also driven. Combined with a lockable differential, this made the vehicle very capable off-road, an equivalent in many ways to the Jeep. This is a technically advanced machine in which the third side-car wheel was driven from an axle connected to the rear wheel of the motorcycle, effectively making it a three-wheeled vehicle. Fitted with a locking differential and selectable road and off-road gear ratios the R75 was highly manoeuvrable and capable of negotiating most surfaces. It was even fitted with a reverse gear. It was this technological R75 at that time that had the Allied yankees dropped their jaw in awe and instructed the upcoming Harley-Davidson to come up with something up-to-match with this marvel in order to stay compete in mobilisation power.

However, today, Harley-Davidson is the more sought-after de facto chopper touring big bike.

Yippee! Spiderman toothbrush

September 12th, 2007 5 comments

Been mentioning to Szer about my discontentment of not having the Spiderman toothbrush. I bought that Doraemon one because I have no other choice at that moment at Watson. Yesterday went to Guardian in SD and found it. Its nicer than Batman’s. Distributed by P&G, the toothbrush is made in China under license from Marvel Characters Inc. Szer bought it for me as a  get-well-soon gift. :)

Although the Doraemon’s one have rubber tongue scrapper built behind the brush, Spidey’s bristles are softer and nicer to brush with. Anyway, I love both of my toothbrush. Now I have a reason to buy it and not being laughed for being so kiddy. Yay!

Here’s a mail box I saw at a collision repair workshop in Seremban. That’s a refrigerant tank if you don’t already know. It makes a sturdy mail box that can withstand all kinds of weather.
