Bersih 2.0 rally in Kuala Lumpur – locations of anticipated road blocks

July 7th, 2011 2 comments

Oh shit… the buggers are doing it again. Everytime there’s a rally or mass gathering, police will put up road blocks around KL to catch or to screen (or so they said) people and detain suspected rally-goers. Such road blocks causes massive traffic jams for no reason. I hope and pray that God Almighty will give brains to our policemen so that they can think with a brain and not with the arse.

There’s a SMS circulating around where it say there will be road blocks this few days. The places affected are:

1. Putrajaya to Bangi
2. Jalan Enggang towards Keramat AU2 and AU3 (Ampang)
3. Damansara highway toll to Penchala & Kayu Ara
4. Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam to Kampung Subang
5. Jalan Lapangan Terbang, near Subang Airport - subang PLUS highway toll
6. Jalan Haji Sirat - Taman Sri Pekan, Klang (heading to Bukit Raja PLUS highway toll)
7. Monash University to Cyberjaya
8. Kampung Pandan towards KL

Good luck, folks.

GAB & education

January 7th, 2009 2 comments

Ok… I don’t know if you all know about this… but after I saw a poster at the supermarket showing GAB is raising funds for Chinese education, I was a bit sorry. Yeah… i’m not against it…. I’m supporting it by buying Guiness stout etc. It is a noble cause in the name of education.

BUT… let me ask you…. aren’t there Indian/Tamil educated GAB-brand drinkers? Why can’t they raise a fund for “Indian education” as well? We can only wonder…

One school one nation & One United

December 23rd, 2008 2 comments

Lately we see numerous opinions on whether the country should adopt a single school system or not. Well, firstly I would say I am siding Prof. Khoo Kay Kim’s opinion/suggestion as I think it is the way to go. We need to take the first step to create a Malaysian race. When schools use the same common language as medium of teaching….. we will have everyone able to communicate with each other across the board.  Usually people will group with people who speak the same language.

We just gotta abolish vernacular school and introduce single national school to create a new generation of people who dont speak broken Bahasa Malaysia anymore…… even some foreigners can speak better BM than some Malaysians. I would suggest that Mandarin and Tamil should also be made compulsory language along with English. Hence we will create a nation that can speak 4 languages…… no matter you are chinese. malay, indian or others.

Ha… what about that? Call me a traitor if you like but I strongly agree with Prof. Khoo !!!!!! I would stress that all Malaysians MUST read this.

Someone is swearing someone

March 14th, 2008 No comments

IPOH: The swearing-in of the new Perak Mentri Besar has been postponed indefinitely.

The ceremony, which was scheduled for 4pm at Istana Iskandariah here yesterday, was called off after leaders of the new DAP-PKR-PAS coalition government had an audience with the Regent of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah.

Comptroller of the Royal Household at Istana Iskandariah Datuk Seri Raja Mansor Raja Razman announced the postponement.

Perak PAS secretary Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin was initially scheduled to take his oath of office as the Mentri Besar before Raja Nazrin.

Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming said that Raja Nazrin wanted a letter of undertaking from all 31 opposition assemblymen indicating their support for the formation of the new DAP-PKR-PAS coalition government.

“The letter should also state that all 31 of them supported the appointment of Pasir Panjang assemblyman Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as the new Mentri Besar,” said Nga, who is also Pantai Remis assemblyman.

Nga explained that Raja Nazrin had summoned the leaders to meet him at 2.30pm at Istana Kinta. The meeting lasted until 4pm.

On Monday, Raja Nazrin had consented to the formation of the coalition government.

He also named Mohammad Nizar as the new Mentri Besar after selecting from three names including Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham and PKR treasurer Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi.

Latest update: PKR’s Jamaluddin making a call after meeting with Raja Nazrin at Istana Kinta on Thursday.
By 10.30pm, all 31 assemblymen – 18 from the DAP, seven from PKR and six from PAS – signed letters supporting the coalition government and supporting Nizar as Mentri Besar.

Ngeh said DAP, PKR and PAS assemblymen had been approached to cross over to Barisan Nasional.

“I am happy to note that the assemblymen have resisted the temptation to defect,” he said.

On talk that PKR was unhappy that it did not have any exco post in the new government, Ngeh said it was not true and that all parties would be treated fairly.

More than 100 people and pressmen had gathered at the clock tower roundabout about 5km from Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar at 3pm yesterday in anticipation of the swearing-in ceremony.

Police had set up roadblocks from 1.30pm to bar uninvited guests from entering the palace grounds.

Among the guests who turned up were caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali and his wife Datin Seri Kamariah Mokri, and Raja di-Hilir Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and his wife Raja Puan Muda of Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah.

When word began to spread that the swearing-in ceremony had been cancelled, several supporters began to shout at one another, causing the police to ask them to leave.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Supt Zakaria Pagan said the palace informed the police that the ceremony had been cancelled at about 4.15pm.

He said the crowd which had gathered near the palace dispersed peacefully by 5.30pm.

Klang’s Little Emperor is DEAD

March 12th, 2008 No comments

Yo… the En. Zackhariah (not his real name) of Klang was DEAD. If you dont know who is him, the you should really go and google it. He is known to the Pandamaran locals for his infamous mansion built on a low cost housing land. How he was able to do it (to build a mansion on the land which was said to be acquired through improper channel), I will not elaborate more as it will be a disrespect to the dead guy.

He, the Little Napoleon as referred by some newspaper, was reported dead due to heart attack. Maybe he was too upset about the defeat of Barisan Nasional last Saturday. However, I been hearing many people saying that his death is not because of heart attack as reported by the newspapers. I don’t know. Some people said he committed suicide because the local government is now in the hands of what used to be the Opposition parties. Unreliable sources said that the late En. Zachariah was scared that his wrongdoings to be found out by the new ruling power.

So, the verdict is yours, my well-informed readers.

Report: Malaysian General Election 2008

March 8th, 2008 No comments

Ok… walked to the school near my house and casted my 2 precious votes. I’ve done my duty as a citizen for my beloved country. Now, let us pray for the new hope of Malaysia to be announced tonight. Stay tuned with the idiot box.

This is my first time going to a school in so many years. The management of the voting centre was smooth and I was back home in less than 30 minutes from the moment I stepped out of my house. Maybe some people have to go to work and only will go voting after work in the afternoon. I saw some people came here only to find they came to the wrong school… err I mean polling centre. I thought it will be a long long queue like what my dad said it used to be when he voted in SK Selayang Jaya (the primary school I went with many of my homies).

Ok…. lets hope for now. Come here again tonight for the new hope to be unfold.

MALAYSIA DECIDES 2008

March 7th, 2008 No comments

So… tomorrow we’re going to the polling centres to decide the future of the next 5 years. This will be my first time voting. Anyway, received a forwarded email which I feels it has to be voice out for the public to know. Just remember to tick for BN on the ballot paper.

It reads:

Editors
and staff of the
Star Publications (M) Bhd

C:C to all Contacts.

IS STAR PUBLICATION A SHARE HOLDER OF BARISAN NASIONAL?

Dear publisher,

With much regret and disappointment over the star publication i am writing
this letter.
I strongly condemn and object all your articles in the star the pass few
days. Very clearly i can see that your articles on the coming general
election is giving a one sight report and supporting the barisan Nasional
Government. I view this as something not healthy and a threat to the future
of the the media.

You use the caption MALAYSIA DECIDES 2008 in your General election report.
How to decide when you don’t even give a report on the opposition party.
Lim kit siang, Anwar Ibrahim and other oppositions gave many ceramah`s in
penang, But i don’t see any detail or article on that events. and even if i
had see, It would be a negative report on that party. What kind of practice
is this in a democratic country ? We as the rakyat and reader of the star
expects and demand equal coverage and news on all parties in the general
election. Yes it`s good to tell the nation what the barisan has done for
it`s people and the development it has brought to this country, at the same
time it is also important to hear from the opposition their views and
vision for the country. Whether they are giving empty promises, or lying,
it is for the rakyat to decide. Not for the government or for your
publication to decide or come to an conclusion.

In your publication today 28/2/07 page N 11, there is an advertisement from
MIC. What kind of advertisement is that. Is MIC trying to instill fear in
the nation and getting votes by threatening us. It say`s IF YOU DON’T VOTE
FOR MIC THEN BE PREPARED TO PAY THE PRICE…. What the hell does MIC mean
by that. That statement has already breach the election campaign law which
prohibits nominee’s from threatening the voters. I see only Barisan
Nasional `s advertisement in the star.. Aren`t there any other parties
contesting in this coming general election? Every single day i see so many
full page BN advertisement, Have they not yet exceeded the campaign budget
limit approved by the election commission for all parties. I know how many
thousands it cost for a single page advertisement in the star. Or is the
star sponsoring the pages for BN… If yes, then why is the star not
sponsoring also for DAP, KEADILAN and PAS. There are also readers whom
support the opposition as much as the readers whom supports BN. This is
such and insult to all readers of the Star. We give you business and you
pay us back in this way ?

When reporting on news which refers to Dato seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and
Datuk seri Najib Tun Razak, your publication refers them as the Prime
Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. Has your editors forget
that the Parliament has been dissolved. What right do you all have then to
officially call both this people current ministers of Malaysia. Aren’t` you
all then giving false information to the readers.

I send this email as and warning to the Star Publication to give and equal
coverage to all parties on the General Election. It`s is also a call from
the Election Commission President of Malaysia to give and equal and fair
coverage to all parties. If your company were to still publish report on a
one sight view after reading this email, I am going to launch a boycott on
the star publication and urge penang people not to buy the Star. I will go
all out for it using my contacts and influences and make sure people do not
buy the Star. There are alternative paper like the SUN which provides equal
news to the nation. Why then spent more to buy news which is not fair and
equal to all. I hope this is the start for a change in the way your reports
are being published. Let the Nation decide, and dont fool your readers.
