Suit and pants and shirt

August 01, 2010 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Haha.. this is the first time in my entire life getting a tailored pair of suit. It certainly cost me an A-bomb and to think of it… I think I will rarely use it after my wedding. Hmm…

The culture is as such where we don’t really need to have a pair of suit for most of our day-to-day functions/events and professional life. The scorching tropical weather is another factor. I am thinking why did I spent that amount of money for the suit which I collected just a few hours ago, which I may not be using after the wedding. Why?

Well, renting it may not promise you a good measurement fit and the price is almost the same as getting a tailored one. Hence, why not a pay a few dollars more of your hard earned cash for a brand new suit. There are many things needed for a wedding that you my not use after the wedding. But a wedding, being one of the most memorable day in your life, is a once-in-a-lifetime (unless you marry twice or a few more times) event and why not spend your life savings, break the credit card or overdraft limits, loan from ahlong and enjoy being a royal couple for a day…just for the heck of it.

Just worry about the debts after the wedding and you’ll live your singlehood a lil’ bit merrier.

PS: Ok… I will use the suit when attending my friends’ wedding dinner in this few years (hopefully) before I grow fatter and have to pack the suit and keep it under the bed to collect dust for the rest of my life. Thank god its not a Zegna-ware or Dunhill-ware.

Shoes 2

I finally bought a pair of shoes. I don’t know why…. I bought yet another brown shoe and I just don’t know why I have a thing for brown shoes. They just look good on my feet. Well, its just a pair of adidas.

Man… there are a lot of brands out there and I can hardly see nice Puma shoes at sport shops in KL. Not much choices. But then, Onitsuka Tiger shoes can be found at al-Ikhsan, Bukit Bintang Plaza.

Shoes

Whoa… buying a pair of shoe is so difficult and with all the choices, colours and designs, I gonna take a sometime to look around for one. I’m trying to get a pair of shoe that can suit all occasion. Well, I’m being quite extreme here.. the shoe must be able to match with the clothes that I have in my wardrobe now and it must be suitable for dinners, evening at the driving range, weekend stroll at the shopping mall, work and most of all casual yet stylish.. and it must be within budget for a middle-income earner like me. Pheew. So demanding, stingy and kiasu.

I think its just impossible to have a pair of shoe to suit most of the occasions. Maybe I should get a porsche-designed shoe.

Been going to the driving range with my dad in law. Today is the second time at the range and I’m quite happy that I managed to get a few shots that were straight and with the ideal impact sound when the club touches the ball. The sport is addictive and I dare say… i’m a bit addicted as I’m seeing myself hitting some balls that are really taking off and fly away. Thanks to dad in law’s advice and the good grip from the glove that I bought the other day. Ahoy.

There’s still a lot to practice and I need a some kakis to go driving range with on the weekdays. Ok… I need to continue reading the golf handbook (for idiot like me, reading up is essential. Theory is important!) that I bought last week. I just need a new hobby to occupy my free time. Like some of my colleagues who are so into cycling and bicycles, photography or diving, I just need a new hobby and that is golf.

Oh yeah… Germany vs. England?? Deutschland !!! Die Mannschaft !!

Pudu Jail becoming a jailhotel

June 23, 2010 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

The iconic prison in the heart of KL was demolished yesterday. Another historical building that was built in 1891 by our then colonial master, Pudu Jail had been around for almost as long as Kuala Lumpur. I even read it somewhere that there were wardens with surname of “Fish”, “Currie” and “Rice”. Haha… they serve fish curry and rice in the prison.

I would really like it if its turned into a jail-hotel like Lowengraben Jailhotel in Lucerne. You have no idea how nice a jailhotel can be if have stayed in Lowengraben before. I stayed a night there while I was in Lucerne for a holiday.

Part of Pudu Jail compound could be turned into a museum especially the section where the carried out death sentences. (it was opened as a museum for a while in the last decade). Old relics such hand cuffs or maybe an electric chair etc that were used in the running of the prison can be displayed for the public to see….so that it would send a message to them no to break the law or you’ll go to prison.

As Bukit Bintang is the golden triangle, there should be more historical tourist spots for visitors to learn more about the history of KL.

Its useless for me to say anything now as the place should have been demolished completely by now. We must preserve all historical sites and old buildings as these are our heritage and they illustrate our past. Bow, the extensive mural work on the prison wall by a drug addict inmate named Pha Tee is demolished. You don’t need to have a UNESCO listing to be a heritage site/building.

Doraemon shrunk the jet engines. Period.

June 18, 2010 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Everyone’s been watching football and may have not heard news of some jet engines that were stolen from an air base here in Bolehwood and were found somewhere in South America. They have the alleged thief, a sergeant in the airforce in detention and interrogation is ongoing at an “UNTHINKABLE” setting. Have anyonne watched that movie starring Samuel L. Jackson??

Imagine a sergeant who may not have the authority and strength to cart the engine out of the hangar all by himself, let alone getting the engines onto a ship or plane and transport it out of the country. Where were the customs officials at the port/airport when he loaded the engines onto the ship/plane?? Who authorised the documents for the engines to be transported out of Bolehwood?

WHO?? WHO THE FUCCCKKKKK ??? LANCAU BETUL LAH INI SEMUA BARBEE.

Well, the accomplice is Doraemon who shrunk the engines to the size of a Matchbox miniature model and together with the sergeant who carried the engines in his pocket and they flew to South America. Once at their destination, Doraemon with his magic gadget, enlarged the engines and they easily disposed it off at a flea market. Some market-goers must have bought it for millions of dollars. Then, both Doraemon and the sergeant returned home filthy rich. Bollocks.

Wooh… this is more interesting than the news of Germany going lift the World Cup for the fourth time in three weeks time. Fuyoooohhhh.
