Scam shop in Taman Desa, KL
Recently one of my wife’s fren was duped of a few thousands of ringgit to a sweet-talker scammer while walking in Brickfields near KL Sentral. That was a scan-and-win (no more scratch and win in these modern days).
Md & Bg Enterprise is the scam company. We went up to the office and was greeted by an ahlian lala girl. They are very good at all this scam thing and they are prepared to confront victims who would come and demand for a refund. Ok… I dont want to talk about the details of the confrontation. I just felt like giving that girl a punch in the face.
Then we went right downstair and lepaked at the 100Yen Convenience shop. There I noticed that there are a lot of people working for the scam company and most of their victims are of chinese and malay race and all these victims look naive. Yes, naive. sorry to say that but thats the truth. Greed is another thing that plagued most human minds.
The scam shop is so strategically located in Taman Desa (same row with Hong Leong Bank and Bjorn pub) and there’s a Shell petrol station just right opposite that row of shops which has Maybank ATM facility. I also saw most of the scammers will escort the victims to the shell station to withdraw money.
I then could not take it anymore. I had 2 cans of japanese beer and was a bit high already. I would have bash some of the guys had I there been other victims there to make a recourse. Ok… I managed to gave a signal to a couple right before they went up to the scam shop office. They however, followed the scammer and went into their office. I prayed that this couple would not fall into their trap.
Later they came down and came straight to us at the convenience store where were sitting. The scammer who was escorting them down also came towards us with the couple as he was afraid something may go wrong. I quickly told that fella that they (the couple) are my friends. The scammer left immediately as he knew something is wrong.
The couple thanked me and told us what happened. They hail from Rawang, The scammer approached them at Sg. Wang, KL shopping centre. Fuck, these scammers are everywhere.
Moral of the story: When anyone approach you telling you that you’ve won some prizes…. just walk off. There’s no free lunch in this world let alone mattresses, electrical goods etc.

eh..i oso kena before leh, april 2009..lured me at the sg wang monorail..i scratched and won a car leh..i followed to this same office lor, i cant believe it is still there..above 100yen store…and their office got no business signs, not like 100yen those…that stupid girl gave me her IC to assure me summo…then the boss asked me give RM5000 before get the car…i ask to show car, must pay first wor….aiyo…thank god la…God must have protected me, gave me strength to walk out… he scolded me on the way out summo…
those scammers so damn pathetic 1. First, they bug you, then you won, then they notify their boss by handphone, and ask you to talk to him to assure you it is real.. If you still hesitate, they give you their ICs and show you newspaper cuttings of their advertisements. People, advertisements can be fake 1, in the newspaper doesnt mean it is not fake.
