Recruiting fans

June 17th, 2008 2 comments

Was in Ipoh with szer and her parents (ditched by the old folks for they have their own activities) for the weekend and had a fair share of eating. Even roamed in style on a German marque…. the old Beetle. However, its air conditioning was a bit shitty and we have to rely on the window air scoop. Nevertheless, it was fun driving the Hitler’s brainchild.

We shopped at Jaya Jusco for the whole afternoon because we dare not go anywhere under the scorching sun and the faulty air conditioning of the Beetle. Bought these kiddo shirts for the kids, Babybandit and Aaron… hoping they will join me and the rest of the world in supporting the Mannschaft.

Of course the one with “Deutschland” imprinted is mine and just for illustration purposes of this post.

Rising cost

June 10th, 2008 3 comments

I wonder you all realise it or not, cost of things really gone up after the recent fuel hike. Today went to this restaurant near my place which I always frequent with my family. Ordered a “koo lou yuk fan” (sweet and sour pork rice).

When the dish was served, I was so surprised with the portion of the meat. Not only it is small in pieces… it was just 5-6 pieces. I asked the lady boss and she said “no lah, normally also like that what…”.

Man, I’m pissed. We’re still paying RM 5.00 for a plate of rice like before the fuel hike….. what we get is smaller portion now. Smart ass. Arrgh.

Amber Chia and the screwed radio ad

June 6th, 2008 4 comments

Ok, i don’t know if you realise it but this afternoon I was driving in the scorching sun and suddenly Amber Chia was heard in a Mix.fm radio advert endorsing Pensonic electrical goods. Yeah… she’s a very beautiful model but just leave that to the TV or print media. Her good look is just for the TV and print media and NOT radio where voice and speech is a major concern because I heard the supposed word “vibrant” from her became “viblant” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder if I was a bit sleepy at that time and all the noise from outside the car interfered with my hearing…. I don’t mind heavy indian, malay or chinese accent in ads but not vibrant replaced with viblant. I just cannot accept it. Arrghh. Hope I can hear that ad again to confirm if she said that “viblant” word.

Hope they are not gonna get David Beckham to endorse dustbin or electric shavers on air in the future. You all know how he sounds like.

Air Cleaner for a better health

June 2nd, 2008 1 comment

The air is getting polluted these days. Everyone seems like getting cough, flu or hay fever. So, I think I should invest in some good air cleaners or air purifier if you want to put it that way. One for the living room, one for the room, kitchen and bathroom. I should get one to be used in my car too. There are 6 types of air purifier such as HEPA, ultraviolet, ionic, carbon airfilter and electrostatic precipitators.

There are many kinds of air cleaners available but I think each one has its own pro and cons. Each air cleaner operates differently and would be good if used together with other to provide the most optimum air purifying.
