Rodeo most prized tournament
The other day I saw a travel show in the cable TV where this guy, the host went a rodeo tournament. I’m very interested with it especially because it is not available for us to experience in our own country. It is very exciting to see cowboys (and the sexy cowgirls of course) showing off their speed and skills on raging bulls.
I’m still amazed of how somebody could pick a fight with a bull, and risking personal injury while doing that. Life just doesn’t get more dangerous but fun than this I would say.
There is this annual event called Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) which is often referred to as the ‘Super Bowl of rodeo’ held every December in Las Vegas. The prized competition offers cash for the winners and a grand championship title for the one who earns the most money from the categories they held. Among the seven events the cowboys are competing - bareback riding, steer wresting, tie-down roping and one I just got to know after doing some research on the internet, that there’s also an event exclusively for the ladies, called the barrel racing.
National Rodeo Finals tickets are normally sold out each year for every category due to its popularity. That is more than 170,000 seats if you don’t already know! I hope one day I will have the chance to be at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. It would be a priceless experience if I could watch it live among other hardcore fans. I certainly will blog about it should I have a chance.
