House Broken Into!!!!!

March 12th, 2008 3 comments

Got some terrible news today. My place in Ara Damansara AND Taman Desa were both broken into last week. My dad said the door in Taman Desa is damaged and some of the drawers were overturned. I don’t know what they thought they could find there coz I already shifted most things back to Ipoh. My mom wants me to shift her heavy old school sewing machine (SINGER) back to KL though. I thought that would be the last thing they would want to take anyways.

My mom said my room in Ara Damansara remained intact, she said that there’s probably nothing there for them to take. Agreed! My sister and bro-in-law suffered heavy losses though- watches, cash, tv, videocam, dvd…..

The irony is that both my places are GUARDED. So much for managed security services! My sister’s car was stolen from Taman Desa parking lot few years back. This just goes to show how great our security services is in KL. You might even think that the burglars and the guards are probably sepakat.

Well..

Keep u udpated

Rodeo most prized tournament

March 12th, 2008 No comments

The other day I saw a travel show in the cable TV where this guy, the host went a rodeo tournament. I’m very interested with it especially because it is not available for us to experience in our own country. It is very exciting to see cowboys (and the sexy cowgirls of course) showing off their speed and skills on raging bulls.

I’m still amazed of how somebody could pick a fight with a bull, and risking personal injury while doing that. Life just doesn’t get more dangerous but fun than this I would say.

There is this annual event called Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) which is often referred to as the ‘Super Bowl of rodeo’ held every December in Las Vegas. The prized competition offers cash for the winners and a grand championship title for the one who earns the most money from the categories they held. Among the seven events the cowboys are competing – bareback riding, steer wresting, tie-down roping and one I just got to know after doing some research on the internet, that there’s also an event exclusively for the ladies, called the barrel racing.

National Rodeo Finals tickets are normally sold out each year for every category due to its popularity. That is more than 170,000 seats if you don’t already know! I hope one day I will have the chance to be at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. It would be a priceless experience if I could watch it live among other hardcore fans. I certainly will blog about it should I have a chance.

Klang’s Little Emperor is DEAD

March 12th, 2008 No comments

Yo… the En. Zackhariah (not his real name) of Klang was DEAD. If you dont know who is him, the you should really go and google it. He is known to the Pandamaran locals for his infamous mansion built on a low cost housing land. How he was able to do it (to build a mansion on the land which was said to be acquired through improper channel), I will not elaborate more as it will be a disrespect to the dead guy.

He, the Little Napoleon as referred by some newspaper, was reported dead due to heart attack. Maybe he was too upset about the defeat of Barisan Nasional last Saturday. However, I been hearing many people saying that his death is not because of heart attack as reported by the newspapers. I don’t know. Some people said he committed suicide because the local government is now in the hands of what used to be the Opposition parties. Unreliable sources said that the late En. Zachariah was scared that his wrongdoings to be found out by the new ruling power.

So, the verdict is yours, my well-informed readers.
