Change your socks everyday !!

March 30, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 5 Comments →

Wooh… yesterday was freaky. Went drinking with some colleagues and 2 of them (whom supposed to be the drivers in case the rest of us got drunk) were pissed drunk. Have to get them back to my house to rest and recover.

One of them had a VERY SMELLY feet once he took off his shoes. He was wearing some cheap material made-in-china socks that couldn’t absorb feet perspiration.

Then I asked My Colleague (MC) the next morning why don’t he get some new socks..

G: Why is your shoes so fucking smelly? Now my whole house is so smelly already.
MC: Sorry lah, I don’t have much socks and this one I’ve already wore for 3 days now.
G: What the fuck??!! Oi, why don’t you get some nice new cotton socks like those I have. You have to change socks EVERYDAY!! Your underwear is fine but not your socks. Arrgh.
MC: Ok… I will go and buy as soon as possible…. maybe tomorrow.
G: You better fucking go and buy. Remember only buy cotton socks like those I have. Those cheap made-in-china is a no-no. Its material don’t absorb sweat and thats why your feet is smelly…. let alone you been wearing it for 3 days. Gosh. Geez.
MC: Alright…. I’ll buy. I don’t wanna get Hongkey feet too.

So, the moral of the story…. WEAR A PAIR OF FRESH SOCKS EVERYDAY.

Singgah poh

March 28, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Hi, been a bit busy lately and I don’t have much to blog…. sometime you just don’t have things to write.

Went to Singapore last weekend with my szer. It was just for a weekend. I still don’t understand why chewing gums are banned. I saw a lot of chewing gums left near the writing slab at the immigration centre. Its not cheap ok. I, too, had to part with a pack of wrigley’s spearmint. Arrgh. Man, smuggling chewing gum is as lucrative as drugs in Singapore.

The only highlight was the afternoon at Orchard Road. They have quite a deal of nice stuffs over there… albeit a lil pricey to my standard. I’m saving money, for Sir Matt Busby’s statue is waiting for my arrival. Saw some nice bags but to come to think of it… I have a lot of bags already. Saw some nice Kasco golf caps though I don’t play golf. Maybe it’s time to grow up and do without caps… but then a bit envy of Lee for some of the nice caps he own. Geez. Go and buy lah. Wonder why we always buy unnecessary things…. hmm… but I need a big bag for work !! I didn’t buy anything at the Tangs’s sale.

Ok…you may notice some paid-posts around here as I’m making some pocket money for my trip. If you wish to donate some money to me, please send email to me and we can make some arrangement. ;)

Motor insurance

March 26, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

No one can refute the importance of discussing high-profile issues such as terrorism and hurricane claims, but the reality is that up to 68 percent of every claim dollar paid by insurers goes towards auto claims, a trend that can only go up due to technical innovations and increased safety features. Given that high percentage, it is in the best interests of the auto collision and repair industry and insurers to focus on solidifying a good working relationship with each other.

The relationship between insurers and collision repair shops is an important one because they are both serving the customer, and customer service is one area where both industries strive to excel. The issues that exist between repair shop and insurer can be delicate, however, since everyone is working to improve that bottom line. At the end of the day, insurers and repair shops have to work together harmoniously if they are going to streamline the repair process for the customer — and themselves.

The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association recently hosted a roundtable discussion to address some of the issues between insurers and the collision repair industry. Some of the questions that the association asked insurers focused on the topics of suppressed labor rates, direct repair programs, and the relationship between insurers and repair shops. Jordan Hendler, executive director of the association, commented on the essence of the discussion.

Can Insurers and Repairers Hammer Out Their Differences?

“We are appreciative to have the insurers explain practices at a corporate level, versus hearing different things all over the nation about practices in specific areas,” she said. “It is very helpful to repairers to hear answers to their questions from someone that can speak to the corporate policy that hasn’t been handed down through five generations of management. That is the real benefit — understanding what insurers expect and in the same way explain what we expect, too.”

Labor Rates and Pricing

Suppressed labor rates is an issue that the collision repair industry sees as one of the most pressing. Fair compensation is a fragile topic in any service industry, but for repairers, it’s complicated by the wide range in how much rates can vary in a given market.

“A lot of times, a suppressed rate comes from the insurer trying to control costs,” said Hendler. “But sometimes it’s unfair to the repairer because they are not actually using rates of repairers that are not under a contractual agreement, as in a direct repair program.”

One of the challenges that associations like Hendler’s face is educating repairers on appropriate charges and common business practices. “Some repair businesses are frustrated because they recognize the difference in rates throughout the industry, and some businesses don’t know the difference and just think that this is just the nature of the business,” she said.

The summon waived !

March 17, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Got this when I was in Ipoh during the CNY. I thought of forgetting it and just fuck it. Now they waived it. Yeah. Thanks, Mr. Mohammad Nizar. Now, I have 7-8 unpaid parking summonses issued by MBPJ and MPS over the past 7 years. Are they gonna waive it too? Please…. waive it.

PKR, show us some love and gratitude for giving your man a chance to be Mentri Besar Selangor.

English Doctor (24hrs)

March 15, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Ok… my granny was sick last Friday and she puked that nite. So I quickly took her to see doctor. Well, Sri Damansara is a very pathetic place to stay… sometimes. Why? There’s not a single clinic open at around 10.oopm.. not even a 24hrs clinic. So went to Kepong. No choice.

Saw a few 24hrs clinics along the Kepong main road. We stopped at the nearest one. Klinik Nathan. Man…. the premise is a bit old and crappy. We didn’t realise it was a con shop until we went in to see the doctor.

Can a doctor not speak English well? This Indian doctor, when I talked to him in English he’s like he don’t know how to speak English. He replied me in BM and…… he spoke broken BM.

So, my question is…. can a doctor not to converse in English? He seems like he don’t understand English at all. They charged RM55.00 for consultation and medicines.

Why calling cards are useful

March 15, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Sponsorship Programme No Comments →

Your girlfriend is abroad and you miss each other so much that you all would call each other everyday and the call rate is expensive for both of you. I’ve gone through that and thats why I’m now recommending calling cards which saved me a lot on phone bills.

So far, GetMeCallingCards.com offers the best choices. Their prepaid phone card is quite reasonable. If you’re lucky, you can get call card for almost every destinations in the world.
They also have a 3% cash back rebate program where you will get 3% rebate for every calling card or phone card purchases that you make with GetMeCallingCards.com. Wow, thats good. In their website, there is a phone cards list where you can compare card before making a purchase. They even have a phone card tip on using phone cards which I find it very informative.

For example, usually each card has good rate for only one country or two. They allow people to buy $5 calling cards. The reason being that some people like to try several different cards to find the best deals. Those people usually prefer to buy $5 calling cards, the cheapest value, before they start buying a bigger value phone cards. This is understandable giving the situation of the rate changes that might occur from the phone card manufacturer’s side. If you find a very good rate for a specific country, don’t use that card for other countries. If there is not rate list for the country for a specific card, that means rate is high. Don’t use those card designed for international call to make a domestic call. Usually there will be more charges.

My Thoughts on Malaysia Decides 2008

March 14, 2008 By: szer Category: Bloggy No Comments →

The elections came and went. And now we are facing a new wave of change. A change that has been much awaited. And yet, there is an unsettled feeling in me that this political tsunami is not over yet. There is a great battle ahead. For our Mr. Lim Guan Eng, I salute him for his bravery and for his fight for us, how he has undertaken a task that perhaps no other would. Some could but everyone chose to take a step back. There is no right or wrong. Some of us take a step back out of fear. Everyone fears the unknown. What lies ahead, my friends is the unknown. And it grips me with fear thinking when we shall reach a stability…are we going to end up like Indonesia…are we going to be like the US with the Democrats and Republicans, are we going to have a better life under Anwar’s leadership…is the coalition opposition govt reliable, is anyone going to defect. We may all have left the country, but the heart has never left. I’m overwhelmed that most of the Malaysians in my company supporting in various countries have gone back to vote. One indeed could make a difference. This election is an inspiration and would continue to do so for our young Malaysians.

Someone is swearing someone

March 14, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Current Affairs No Comments →

IPOH: The swearing-in of the new Perak Mentri Besar has been postponed indefinitely.

The ceremony, which was scheduled for 4pm at Istana Iskandariah here yesterday, was called off after leaders of the new DAP-PKR-PAS coalition government had an audience with the Regent of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah.

Comptroller of the Royal Household at Istana Iskandariah Datuk Seri Raja Mansor Raja Razman announced the postponement.

Perak PAS secretary Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin was initially scheduled to take his oath of office as the Mentri Besar before Raja Nazrin.

Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming said that Raja Nazrin wanted a letter of undertaking from all 31 opposition assemblymen indicating their support for the formation of the new DAP-PKR-PAS coalition government.

“The letter should also state that all 31 of them supported the appointment of Pasir Panjang assemblyman Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as the new Mentri Besar,” said Nga, who is also Pantai Remis assemblyman.

Nga explained that Raja Nazrin had summoned the leaders to meet him at 2.30pm at Istana Kinta. The meeting lasted until 4pm.

On Monday, Raja Nazrin had consented to the formation of the coalition government.

He also named Mohammad Nizar as the new Mentri Besar after selecting from three names including Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham and PKR treasurer Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi.

Latest update: PKR’s Jamaluddin making a call after meeting with Raja Nazrin at Istana Kinta on Thursday.
By 10.30pm, all 31 assemblymen – 18 from the DAP, seven from PKR and six from PAS – signed letters supporting the coalition government and supporting Nizar as Mentri Besar.

Ngeh said DAP, PKR and PAS assemblymen had been approached to cross over to Barisan Nasional.

“I am happy to note that the assemblymen have resisted the temptation to defect,” he said.

On talk that PKR was unhappy that it did not have any exco post in the new government, Ngeh said it was not true and that all parties would be treated fairly.

More than 100 people and pressmen had gathered at the clock tower roundabout about 5km from Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar at 3pm yesterday in anticipation of the swearing-in ceremony.

Police had set up roadblocks from 1.30pm to bar uninvited guests from entering the palace grounds.

Among the guests who turned up were caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali and his wife Datin Seri Kamariah Mokri, and Raja di-Hilir Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and his wife Raja Puan Muda of Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah.

When word began to spread that the swearing-in ceremony had been cancelled, several supporters began to shout at one another, causing the police to ask them to leave.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Supt Zakaria Pagan said the palace informed the police that the ceremony had been cancelled at about 4.15pm.

He said the crowd which had gathered near the palace dispersed peacefully by 5.30pm.

SCHOLES: One eye on our rivals

March 13, 2008 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

The oft-used football cliche take each game as it comes is the maxim of any title-chasing side. And although Paul Scholes says it’s imperative you stay focused on your next challenge, he admits it’s difficult not to mull over potential pitfalls in the fixture list, or watching United’s title rivals willing them to stumble.

Like Ryan Giggs and Edwin van der Sar, 33-year-old Scholes has invaluable know-how at this stage of the season. With just two points separating United and league leaders Arsenal (Bolton on Wednesday is United’s game in hand) and Chelsea chasing hard in third, he says it’s impossible not to follow every twist and turn.

“Whether or not it’s right to do, you look at games coming up,” he told Red View . “You have to focus on one game at a time, but you do tend to look ahead. You watch opponents’ matches, too. That’s just the nature of being in a title race. It’s that time of the season where you watch every game hoping your rival drops points.”

Scholes watched anxiously, like most fans, as Arsenal struggled against the grit of Wigan, and the mud of the JJB Stadium turf. “That was a really good result for us,” he said. “I know the pitch was horrendous and Arsenal had just had a really tough game in Milan, but we have to be pleased with the outcome.”

Derby, United’s opponents on Saturday, are in an irrecoverable position at the foot of the Premier League table. But Scholes says there can be no let-up, regardless of the Rams’ plight. “We’ve got the experience to know we must do the business in our games. If we do that, we’ve got a great chance to win the league.”

House Broken Into!!!!!

March 12, 2008 By: szer Category: Bloggy 3 Comments →

Got some terrible news today. My place in Ara Damansara AND Taman Desa were both broken into last week. My dad said the door in Taman Desa is damaged and some of the drawers were overturned. I don’t know what they thought they could find there coz I already shifted most things back to Ipoh. My mom wants me to shift her heavy old school sewing machine (SINGER) back to KL though. I thought that would be the last thing they would want to take anyways.

My mom said my room in Ara Damansara remained intact, she said that there’s probably nothing there for them to take. Agreed! My sister and bro-in-law suffered heavy losses though- watches, cash, tv, videocam, dvd…..

The irony is that both my places are GUARDED. So much for managed security services! My sister’s car was stolen from Taman Desa parking lot few years back. This just goes to show how great our security services is in KL. You might even think that the burglars and the guards are probably sepakat.

Well..

Keep u udpated
