The 5 sen post
I was having breakfast at Wisma Genting this morning and there’s a guy sitting next to me who refused to accept two 5 sen coins for change from the stall owner. Man, to come to think of it, how often do you refuse to accept small coins? If you say you refuse 1 sen then I understand but this is 5 sen. Sometime, we even refuse to accept old, blackish , stinky ringgit note. Remember when they recalled back the RM1 coins and a month before the deadline, shops and stalls already not accepting it giving reason that it could be a fake coin and they can’t change it at the bank.
Me and my Szer have been using our 1 sen coins to pay toll. Do you think the usage of 1 sen coins should be ceased? Then we’ll be paying more if figures are rounded up. So, the only place to give away all your unwanted coins or bank notes? Go to your nearest toll plaza… the cash lane and pay with all your unwanted coins. However do keep some coins in the car for your parking fees. Don’t get summoned like me. The local town council is very hardworking these days.
