We have emotions. We are not machines. We can’t just do work 24/7 and Saturday is a half-day work. If I work the whole day on Saturday, will the company gimme overtime pay or recognition? Zilsch.
Maybe before this I was able to do whole day work on a Saturday, but now I won’t. I get nothing. How can you ask why I can’t finish 7 cases on saturday? Fuck, its a half working day. At least I done 4 of it. I have better things to do… like sitting at home watching DVD with szer or go jalan-jalan at the mall… I dont have to waste my personal time for work.
My job is nice. I’m just sick of the people in the office. The office is crap.

but you’re right about being realistic about working overtime. why do more when you know that you get nothing out of it. I’ll rather work productively within the working hours.
people who work late are not necessarily hardworking, maybe they just have bad time management. and if your boss expects you to work OT just because everyone does it, then your boss is a moron.
i say…stick to the allocated time 8 to 5.30 or whatever that your company has set the working time to be. Afterall, there’s more to life than just work.
There’s LIFE AFTER WORK, which i think many Malaysians fail to realize. some just like to work late because it makes them feel valuable/important. Some take their work as a refuge from loneliness and boredom, and fear of having to meet people and try new things.

it’s agonizing coming in on a sat.! most still if you’re not confirmed and you’ll have to come in the office EVERY SATURDAYS’ … go figure =[

endrooG: just sharing… anyway, the point is, if you love your job, you love what you’re doing, you don’t feel like you are actually working, you feel the joy of accomplishments… you will just focus on ur goals, that’s WHAT you produce, so don’t be stressed by the negative comments on HOW you do it? OTs, disagreements, people, etc. are just parts of the process, find the positive energy from the negative comments, transform to WHAT you produce eventually…with a better HOW
