How helpful are you to a tourist?

May 31, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 4 Comments →

I was crossing the busy road of Jalan Sultan Ismail (below the Raja Chulan monorail station) this afternoon going back to office at Promet and I saw two girls looked kinda lost on the opposite of the road. They were looking at a map prolly drawn by someone who dont know how to show direction let alone knowing the area in and out.

As I was crossing, I looked at them and I know they are lost… they are looking for a particular building and I got a glance on the map they are looking.

I wanted to help… but if they dont ask, I wont give a shit. Go and ask a bangla security guard. How hard is asking for direction when the map you have can’t help you much.

If you want to know a direction, ask a local. Not foreigners like banglas or indons unless they really know, then I’m happy for you.

This is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figurine I had since I was small… prolly 9 years old at that time. The quality is way better than the one McDonald’s sold. But then, it is of different generation. So cannot be compared. I lost its weapon and the belt. I gave it to my cousin. Wonder if Michaelangelo is still in good condition.

Deleting the word “Islam”

May 31, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Current Affairs No Comments →

We read in paper today that Lina Joy just lost the appeal… but she has not lose her faith… Christianity that is. She took the NRD to court after they refused the 3rd time to delete the word “Islam” from her identity card.

Sometime we wonder… why are all this people like triads…. once you’re in it, there’s no chance of getting out. Why only this particular religion in this country is like this…. barring people from denouncing it.

I just dont understand why is it like that. People from other religion never face such  problem to convert to other non-muslim religion. Just some questions to ponder as an ordinary joe:

a. If everyone is free… even Muslims are free to denouce the religion like other religions, a lot of Muslim people will denounce hence the number of muslims in the country lesser?! They’re afraid the numbers of muslims getting lesser? Is this the whole idea since the birth of the constitution?

b. Why must all these idiots inconvenience people from getting a word deleted? Just a fucking word from the fucking IC .

c. This is the only country I guess that idiots will go around during the fasting month and see if Muslims are fasting. You cant force people to fast, right? If you fast, it shows how deep is your faith…. they make some muslims friend of mine to be so inconvenienced that they had to eat in store rooms, underneath the table… just like dog.

d. Is it possible for me to sue the fella who ask me to show prove that I’m not a fucking muslim when I eat at a mamak during fasting month? Do i need to wear my crucifix hanging on my forehead? I kena once.

e. Then there were cases where all this idiotic clowns fighting for a deadman’s corpse whom they dont really even know. They are not his family member nor friends. Why they waste so much time for a corpse of a man they barely know? Just let her wife do the thing lah.

Malaysians are so like that.

The Police latest album !!

May 30, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Sponsorship Programme 2 Comments →

Hi, this is a sponsored post. What a great news. The new police cd album. Legendary rockers The Police will begin their global reunion tour with an exclusive fan club members-only warm-up show at Vancouver’s General Motors Place on May 27, and follow it with the June 5 release of a self-titled hits collection.

The two-disc, 28-song A&M set will be joined in stores that day by remastered versions of Police guitarist Andy Summers and Robert Fripp’s 1982 album, I Advance Masked, and Police drummer Stewart Copeland’s 1985 release, The Rhythmatist.

Singer/bassist Sting will have a book titled Lyrics By Sting — featuring more than 100 songs and commentary about the writing process — published by Dial Press on Oct. 23. Dial published his memoir, Broken Music, in 2003.

Playing with the raw energy of a punk band, the improvisational instincts of a jazz trio, and the infectious spirit of reggae, singer-bassist Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland were indisputably the most adventurous ambassadors of the genre then known as New Wave. Following ‘Fall Out’, The Police released their debut album ‘Outlandos d’Amour’ in 1978. The first single, ‘Roxanne’ reached the Top 40 and the album, featuring ‘So Lonely’, ‘Next To You’, ‘Hole In My Life’, ‘Truth Hits Everybody’ and ‘Can’t Stand Losing You’, was Top 30 in the U.S. (Top 10 U.K.).

Come on everyone, lets rock….
Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break, every step you take
I’ll be watching you

After 20 years, The Police are set to reunite and rock the Grammy’s this year, with at least one future performance in store! Though they may have won 5 Grammys, it’s their first time ever performing at the awards ceremony. Woohoo, I can hardly wait. What song will they be singing? My personal favorite apart from “Every Breath You Take” is “King of Pain”. Sting is legendary!

The new police cd feature these tracks:

Disc: 1
1. Fallout
2. Can’t Stand Losing You
3. Next to You
4. Roxanne
5. Truth Hits Everybody
6. Hole in My Life
7. So Lonely
8. Message in a Bottle
9. Reggatta de Blanc
10. Bring on the Night
11. Walking on the Moon
12. Don’t Stand So Close to Me
13. Driven to Tears
14. Canary in a Coalmine

Disc: 2
1. Do Do Do de da da Da
2. Voices Inside My Head
3. Invisible Sun
4. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
5. Spirits in the Material World
6. Demolition Man
7. Every Breath You Take
8. Synchronicity I
9. Wrapped Around Your Finger
10. Walking in Your Footsteps
11. Synchronicity II
12. King of Pain
13. Murder by Numbers
14. Tea in the Sahara

AD5

Ha… i consider that an accomplishment though many ex-schoolmates did not turn up but many new faces came. Our SMIH reunion dinner is becoming like a party for our friends and their friends. And there’s our significant halves.

A friend get friend party. Very warm. Hope everyone enjoyed.

Casualty? Ah Loon @ Alan Ho sprained his ankle when he tried to grab Daniel F to put him into the swimming pool. He’s limping now.

So… from now on…. AD is no more of a reunion party for Idealians…. its more like a gathering of friends. Time have changed. Hope the party next year will be better. Those who couldn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances, hope you all can attend next year.

The design for the tshirt for next year is done. Not bad a design. Will have it published here once it is confirm as final. Thanks again.

Laptopia

May 28, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy No Comments →

Sometime I see people who place their laptop on a mattress or pillow. Isn’t it that’s a wrong place to put your laptop on? I even fucked Mr Bean in doing that.

The cooling fan unit is placed underneath the laptop with vents on the side. What these people failed to understand is that the fan scoop/intake cold air from underneath and blow it off (hot air) thru the side vents. If you put it on top a pillow, the intake vent may be blocked and pillow will only insulate the heat and it might fry your machine.

Tell me if I’m wrong. Tell me if your laptop is water-cooled.

Choosing restaurant for dummies

May 28, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Food, Places No Comments →

The next time you go to an unfamiliar place for a meal, remember these few tips.

Look around at other restaurants in the area. See if there’s any particular shop with more patrons and those with no patron. this is important because there must be something wrong with that restaurant.

a. The place could be a cut-throat place
b. The food could be lousy
c. The service they render could be shitty

I went to a Tee Huat (Klang) Bak Kut Teh Restaurant in Gohtong Jaya yesterday with my Szer. We went to Genting and had our dinner before heading back to KL. It was raining heavily when we reached Gohtong Jaya. So we decided to eat steamboat. As we’re looking for a decent to have our dinner, we saw a bakuteh and why not bakuteh on a cold rainy evening?! Hmm… so we parked right in front of the restaurant.

But then, eh… there’s no patron at all there. We’re the only customers. To think of that at dinner time (8.08pm) and how can other restaurants have half of their premise occupied if not overcrowded and i suspected there must be something amiss. Maybe the bak kut teh here is not nice to eat… but Szer insist that we try it.

Well, the taste of a good thick bakkutteh soup is there and just that they put a lot of pepper. Its like you’re drinking pepper soup. We asked for stomach and intestine and rib meat, vege, and yaucharkuay (deep fried ghost). The waiter said there’s no more stomach. Ok then, just rib meat and intestine. When the dishes served, there’s no intestine. What the fuck. How can a bakuteh shop thsi big have got no intestine and stomach. This is a very common stuff you’d find in any bakkutteh dish.

Asked the waiter, and she said “Oh, no more instestine too. Sorry, we forgot to inform you.”. I was like !@#$%.

After we finished the food, sat there to enjoy some hot chinese tea. It was good. Bla bla bla bla bla… we chatted for almost an hour plus and then the bill came.

RM51.50 !!

  • 1 pot of bak kut teh for 2 persons (with only rib meat, golden needle mushroom and dried beancurd-taupok)
  • 1 plate of vege (polisang yau choy)
  • 1 yauchar kuay (deep fried ghost)
  • 1 chinese tea sachet (Kam Kuan Yin/Thit Kuan Yin)

Thats all.

The portion for two is the same as we can get in Kepong. Woooh…..wait… this is fucking  expensive. We’ve been conned. Tiu lor….

i reached boiling point

May 26, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Shit No Comments →

I called the workshop on Monday to ask whether my car is ready or not. The boss told me i can collet it on Thursday. But then I was not free to collect it yesterday. So I called them this morning that I’ll go there this afternoon.

So, I went there in the afternoon. Thanks to Mun Choon for sending me there. However I was infuriated when I saw that my car is not ready. The my stereo and the amp were not fixed yet. Then, the battery discharged. They need to jump start my car. After they started the engine, there was smoke coming from the positive cable. Shit, something’s burning. Stopped the engine. The battery was at boiling point. Anyway, the battery had shown warning sign before the road mishap. They unplugged the audio system so that no one could steal it. All these were fine.

The fucking thing is that the boss told me that i can collect my car anytime when I called him on Thursday informing him I can’t make that day. They should’ve check all this nitty gritty even before I come. Fuck.

6 to 10 Grill and Nasi Lemak

May 25, 2007 By: endroo G Category: Food, Places No Comments →

Went to this eatery in PJ Sec. 17 for dinner yesterday. One thing, there’s a ample parking and its not congested like bangsar. Its located in a low-cost flats area.

The nasi lemak is just so-so barely edible to my standard. Of course the nasi lemak in hometown is wayyyyyy better. But there are a lot of people patronizing the restaurant. Maybe the western food is good. I should go there again and try their western grill.

Oh yeah, there’s another eatery located at just the next row of shopshouses to this joint… Food Foundry. My Szer said numerous blogs stated that FF’s mille crepe is good. So we bluntly went there on Wednesday and man……… the one Jason Mumble brought us to in Melaka is better. But then, their pasta is delicious. I had a beef steak but they are not very generous. The steak is just a big as ramly burger’s meat. A few leaves of vege and a slice of tomato. Not even some fries. WTF. I don’t fancy that place.

Is there any food that is good in PJ? Cheap, delicious and generous portion.
