Edible indian fruit
I went to a workshop in Rawang and upon reaching the place, I saw two indian fella climbing the tree. It was lunch time.
I got down the car and walk towards them and asked:
G: Dey, anneh, awak makan apa? Itu apa buah? (Dey, anneh, what are you eating?)
Macha: Ini banyak bagus punya. Kencing manis, darah tinggi, darah kotor macam-macam boleh ubat. (This one is good. It can cure diabetes, high blood pressure, detox and many more)
G: O_O Betul kah? (Really?)
Macha: Betul. Dekat india ini buah lagi besar. Sini kat malaysia jarang ada ini pokok. (Yes. In India, this fruit is bigger in size. It is rarely found here in Malaysia)
G: Hmm..
Then came the workshop boss. Told him my business there and he prepared the thing for me. While I was carrying out my work, we talked and he told me he came to know about the fruit from an Indian worker he had. He also told me, a lot of his indian workers wallop the fruits whenever they’re free to climb the tree.
Then the boss jumped and reached some fruits for me. The first time eating it was a torture. I almost puked. Very very very sour. He tricked me into eating the seed. Arrghh. Damn bitter.
The same nite I brought some to Szer’s place and offered to her dad, uncle and sister. Her dad said its sour and kinda dislike it. Her sis gave me the sour face. She threw it right away. Her uncle said sour and kept munching it.
