Pee Dee Malakka
Hi there. Just got home after a nice weekend break with fellow bloggers at Glory Beach, Port Dickson.
On the first, we had BBQ at the beach. It was just a light-scale BBQ. Not much of food were wasted, only a few of those burnt chicken wings and sausages. We just wanted to enjoy the company of each other. As for the drinks, JD and the green tea took centrestage. We played a game which required us to draw for our team mates to guess what we are drawing. I forgot the name of the game. Oh yeah.. Pictionary.
The next day, we went to Melaka for a day trip. Yeah… Melaka. But this time with a different bunch of people, so it was worthy. Ching Ling (Cely) met Jason Mumbles, a local, who brought us around Melaka town for food. Well, as usual, the chicken rice ball. I don’t know what so great of it, but every chicken rice ball shop were packed with patrons. Its just like another chicken rice stall/shop selling the steamed or roasted chickens. Just that its rice were squeezed into ping-pong ball lookalike. We ended eating some curry laksa and then went walking around, shopping for some souvenirs. After that, we headed to the famous Geographer Cafe (where they shot the famous chinese hongkey flick More More Tea Inn [Momo Cha] ). We had the upper section all to ourselves. It was a relaxing place. tihtahpah gave a few of us a massage. Man, she’s good.
After that, Jason brought us to this cake shop at Bandar Hilir… where the cake they have there can only be found in Melaka. Oh, ok. I don’t know what cakes were those but it tasted good. Nay, not a cake lover though. YY’s cheeeeeeeeeesse cake is afterall still the BEST. After eating cake, we went to the Portuguese Settlement for a spicy dinner and the preparation there for Christmas was so nice and warm. Its like a whole community affair where everyone came out to the street to help out to put up lights, banners, decorations, ornaments etc. Children were running here and there, cars with loads of tourists kept coming, caroling troupes practiced different versions of Feliz Navidad. They even have a house named Santa’s Workshop. A giant Santa balloon erected and decorated at the outside of the house. Caroler were singing at car porch. It was so merry. I love it.
On the way back to PD, it rained so heavily. Back at Glory Beach, we eased and showered and then watched the Arse-anal vs Chelski game (they drew 1-1). Then we all chatted the whole nite till 5-6 AM. Today, jammed all the way back to KL because of Selangor sultan’s birdday.
