KL Tower

November 11th, 2006 4 comments

At last, I went to KL Tower with my colleagues. It was crowded and full of school childrens. The sky was blanketed by haze… or was it the windows were dirty?! Didn’t see much as it was full of childrens. It was so damn noisy and hectic.

the lost world of, am I ?

Ken’s car was crashed 2 weeks ago. His brother was driving it in Melaka. My colleague settled the case. Then, 3 days ago someone stole Lee’s car and awaiting a colleague (different dept) of mine to record a statement from him. And I rear ended a Toyota Unser yesterday on the LDP near Uptown. Getting a courtesy car from the workshop tomorrow.

So… anymore vehicle loss? Whose to come? I think my boss should’ve had this as our company’s motto: “Your loss is our gain !”

The instant relief

November 5th, 2006 3 comments

Last Thursday, I was in Klang for work. It rained heavily in the afternoon and I was caught in the rain while doing inspection. Sweat, rain and air-cond (car) is an evil. I got cold and a little bit of fever for this past 2 days.

Yesterday my grandma came to KL and I was so happy. Alas, the seasoned-hand is here to help me with my illness. I asked her to scrape my back. Well, this is a traditional chinese technique to cure fever, cold, bodyache and etc. Its called gua sha (mandarin).

Just now around 7.00pm, I asked grandma to gua sha and I’m now so refreshed. No more fever. The flu is gone and my nostril dried up and I have my fingers busy digging it.

Things you need for gua sha: A chinese soup spoon made of clay. Some saltwater ( dont make it so salty) – half a smallbowl of water + a few pinches of salt. Alternatively, you can use some oil in replace for the saltwater. Actually, the correct way is to use oil. Haha. Here, the saltwater/oil act as the lubricant and at the same time the medicine. The spoon is just a tool. You can also use a coin. But preferably something with a blunt edge.

This technique is very very effective if you want quick relief. Trust me. Scrape your back, backbone, shoulder blade, clavicle-collar bone, cervical spine-neck, and chest. My dad said this is how the Viet Congs survived in the underground tunnels when they were ill.

Check it out, folks.

Something very unfortunate happened to my hommy, Lee. His car was stolen today… maybe yesterday night. I don’t know. And the investigating officer (sergeant) had indicated that he want some tea-money from him…. so that everything will be smooth. Thats life in Malaysia.

Again… again at karaoke with a bunch of chinese-singing people. why
im here u may ask.. hmm, maybe because i just like to out with friends
but ended up in RedBox The Curve after dinner. Dont feel like going
home so early as there’s no internet for quite some time to come.
Fuck. Fuck Telekom. They said they are exercising some infrastructure
upgrade. They should at least have some backup bandwidth. I dont mind
if it is slow like dial-up. Geez.

So, me waiting for my turn for my song which is about 10-20 songs
away. I’m listening songs i’ve heard but dont know how to sing. Some
even never heard of save the singing part. Waiting for my Speed of
Sound. Gotta emulate Chris Martin after a few pint of inspiration
beverage. Ok folks. First, i wanna get a nap. Ciao.
