Blood suckers out in full force

September 30, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 7 Comments →

You know that the festive season is around the corner when you see blood suckers all out in full force on every corner of the road. It is the fasting month for the muslims and by the end of the month they are celebrating Hari Raya…. and also not to forget the Hindus, for their festival of light, Deepavali is 2-3 days before hari raya.

I was a bit unfortunate this morning. I was caught by a traffic cop for talking on the mobile phone and not buckling up the seat belt. Where?? At the traffic light corner heading out of BSD towards the main road. Of course, I gave him 50 bucks….. he was acting professionally and I just take it as a tipping. I have no choice. All my cash was in the wallet. I can’t act as if I’ve got no money. Normally, big notes will be in my pocket but this morning I just forgot to do it. I was heading to the bank with a stack of papers. What a bad luck.

For this month, the cops will be very hardworking, grinding extra cash for a fat wholesome festive celebration in 3 weeks time. For all the cinnapek, please be extra cautious even in your neighbourhood. They will grab any chance they have. Dont take the risks.

a) Seat belts
b) No talking on the phone

Proton Edar booth just out of somewhere. Next to Iran Cultural booth. They’re expecting someone to drive a Proton to Paris (like what some did on a Volkswagen Beetle.)

Yo.. I went to Matta Fair yesterday afternoon… by monorail-LRT because KL was in a traffic standstill subsequent to a heavy downpour. I was soaked wet. My shoes and socks were wet. My jeans have two tone colour. It was horrible. I lost my umbrella in the toilet. Fuck. I forgot to take it.

Ok. There were so many people as usual. Here’s some nice one I took.

Unidentified Floating Object

Why the shit cannot be flushed away ? I flushed 5-6 times and it’s still there. Then I used the special trick and got it fixed. Too much of fatty food I ate that the shit is full of oil/fats therefore it floats.

Blogging politics

September 19, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 6 Comments →

Not to be confused with the former ” The Politics of Blogging “(now Tranquility), I’m now writing about how to make our blogging experience merrier. The Master of Betting Administration (MBA) asked me over a drink, about why we bloggers blog. Why I blog? Gee… first, I’m kinda addicted. Second, its a pastime that doesn’t require cash (apart from the Internet connection fees). Third, as I stated earlier in Why we blog?! , it is for your close one, friends and even foes to know about your day to day life. I treat blogging like writing diary. I write whatever shit I wanna write. My parents read my blog, my aunties read my blog, my hommies read my blog, my colleagues read my blog, my internet newfound friends read my blog, strangers read my blog… what else do you want?

Ok. I screwed him for asking such a thing when he himself does not blog. Of course he have to blog in order to know why we blog. Right? He also asked my opinion on ideas to make our blogging experience better. As far as I can see, the free blog tools like (e.g. Blogspot, Wordpress.com) today are all very capable and suffice our requirement. You can even publish your post from your mobile phone with GPRS/3G connection. Wi-Fi hotspot are mushrooming everywhere. You can host your audio/video file for people to share in your blog… .though being hosted in other places such as YouTube and the likes, nonetheless you can get the thing you want to show people on your blog.

Blogging also keep us striving like journalist (though not as professional) for what to post. You’ll think while you’re driving for example, on what to post tonight. Getting your trip pictures published to the cyberspace for global viewing. Showing your home-made amateur video to the world.. who knows you might just be selected by Lonely Planet for audition. All these can be done in minutes. So, do you still rely on the snail mail to send pictures to your loved one staying abroad?? In blog, all can be done in one place… you can make it a rojak blog where you write whatever you want or have specific topics for it.

So, back to his question, how to make the blogging experience better. Anyone?! I really dont know how to answer him this. Here’s some of my cents.. 50 that is:

Mobile blogging - I’m hoping that in the near future, we can post a blog from email with picture attachment to be published. At the moment, posting from email only confined to text-only posts. No pictures can be published. With the ever sophistication of camera phone and smartphone, I think it is now the time to take mobile blogging to another level. Like Nokia’s Lifeblog, that one we have to pay for the services and buy their buggy crap blogging softwares.

Telco people, if you’re reading this… here are some ideas from me.

To boost the GPRS/3G usage, lower down the charges or have a per month flat-rate and host a free blogging service where your registered users (postpaid/prepaid) can have a unique venue to express themselves while on the move. I’m sure, many people will use it. A reasonable flat-rate charge will make the offer more attractive. Volume counts. Using MMS to post a blog? Hmm… a great idea. With that, you can put in pictures and audio files to your post, video. This is what multimedia is all about. In MMS, there’s no restriction on alphabet/character counts. You can post grandmother stories from it. What else you want? I’m sure the technical requirements to fulfill all this dreams can be easily found and might have been surpassed.

How do you want blogging improve? How blogging should be?

Damn Small Linux (DSL)

September 16, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 8 Comments →

Pictures sourced from http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/

I’m trying to tinker on this particular revolutionary linux distro (based on Debian) which is so small that it can be fitted into my pendrive of 1G capacity. You will get a functional system up and running in seconds on ramdisk. Will update you guys on the outcome soon. There used to be PocketLinux (based on Slackware) which boot from 1 floppy diskette… though command line only… for critical system maintainence.

Its website claims it only consumes 50-60 MB of disk space with fully functional small footprint GUI. No KDE or GNOME, mind you. This is something handy should your windoze pc go kaput. By the way, Win 98 bootdisk is also handy for people with DOS knowledge.

Gotta polish my linux knowledge as Microsoft is preventing us to update our system if we’re using pirated windoze. Ok.

Someday I sit, staring out the window, watching this world pass me by, sometimes I think, there’s nothing to live for… I almost breakdown and cry….

That’s the Hailie’s Song by Em. Sorry, at times I just like to use songs to express feelings. I need a break from the iron curtain a.k.a. office. Took half day off for doing my own shit. I overslept. Since they’re going to deduct half day from the annual leave, why not just take it and do some own stuffs. At least I go in after lunch. Ha. Wonder if my manager is reading this. Ah, who gives a shit.

Its now 2.18AM and I’m still wide awake. Been doing some stupid mapping today in office. They wanna compile a whole listful of panel workshops locations in GPS coordinates using MapSource. (something like Google Earth.. though 2D.) Sohai la.

I want to break free…. I want to break free…

I need a vacation somewhere in the soonest. Maybe I’d go thru the northern border to have my passport stamped or maybe… down south…. to kiasuland. But I need kaki to go with me. How bout the land below the winds??? the city of cats? go get some catwoman fix.

Homies, how now? Any plan? Kelvin, hows the camping shit? Daniel F, hows the Taman Negara plan?? YY, I’m envious of your suisse trip.

It feels so good to be back. At last, fixed the computer. Reinstalled everything from scratch. Have got 3 antiviruses and a firewall doing triple protections. I think I gotta learn ethereal for security sake. Gee.

As for the linux partition, will look into it soon. I’m getting my 1-week dose of missed blogs now.

iSalute to an iChinamen company

September 06, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 3 Comments →

The management of my department in the company just came up with a
lenient regulation that we must report to office every morning by
9.30AM. Yeah… I know many of you would say that its a luxury for up
to 9.30AM. Man, we have to travel the whole Klang Valley, Seremban-PD,
Klang-K.Selangor-Tg. Karang, Rawang-Rasa……….. for surveys. Isn’t
it wiser to travel straight from home to our destination and only
after all the surveys, we head back to office in downtown KL. Getting
in and out of KL surely takes about 30 minutes (traffic dependent).
Disgruntled, I am. But do, is something what I fucking can’t.

If I have a survey in Kepong (3.5 minutes from my house), I have to
get back to office first in the morning (an hour of leg exercise on
the clutch, hand exercise on the steering wheel, gear lever and out of
the window waving the i(nternational)Salute to every other fucking
motorist and also not forgetting, the mouth and exhalation exercise,
sending greetings to every other motorists’ mothers) and only after
that I can go for surveys back in Kepong. Plain stupid, isn’t it?

So, the idea of all the shit is that the management want us to get
back to office… (only to have breakfast at the panel restaurant
before going out again?) to look like an office with staffs actually
doing work in the morning should any visitors come for meetings? When
people stayed back till 9.00/10.00PM, they never praise you or even
pay you overtime. Or is this a plot for those “regulation enforcers”
to have a reason to go off early to “snake”… inconveniencing many of
us who usually stay back in the evening. Well, times ahead are hard in
this company. Lets see what the monkeys are up to.

iXXXXX - the ‘i’ prefix stands for ‘international’.

Virus: Brontok.a

September 06, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 2 Comments →

My computer was infected by a virus brontok.a and tried cleaning it.
It was cleaned but the damages it caused were intolerable. It altered
my the system registry and it is not reversible. The networking was
also screwed up and thats the reason I’m not frequenting your blogs
and stuffs. Damn. Fuck. Gotta reformat the disk anyhow..which i will
undertake this weekend and re-establish my streamyx broadband
connection. The only net-time is in office for the past few days since
merdeka day. I miss the blogs.

Maybe I should to switch to double booting system for security
reasons… windoze and linux. Guys, you better use a limited
priviledged user account for your internet surfing. No joke. I now
know the consequences of a virus threat. All this while, never
encountered a damaging virus infection and took things for granted.

All the pain was caused by my brother. He installed some craps
executables he found at some porn sites & shit sites. I just wanna
fucking plant a virus in him and have him veged. Arggghh.

The belated merdeka post

September 04, 2006 By: endroo G Category: Bloggy 8 Comments →

Fuck.. my internet connection went kaput. I suspect its a worm/virus thats causing it. Local network have limited or no connectivity at all. Gotta need some time to verify things out or if it still persist, gotta reformat the C:\ and reinstall a fresh windows. Thats a bit troublesome. I’m posting this from office pc.

So, the merdeka eve was celebrated very near to home, Daniel’s colleague’s house in KIP Kepong. We saw the fireworks in KL from here…. especially the KLCC one. His colleagues initiated it and Soon Keong & I joined them. The people are a bunch of nice jolly fellas. They drink a lot too.

By the way, I was shocked that my Sony camera can be so powerful to flash through clothes until the bra was visible. NOW GO GET A SONY CAMERA !!!!!!!
