Ha… found this picture while doing some hard disk cleaning just now. Hmm…. the pride of Malaysian.
This picture was taken from Westin Kuala Lumpur on the eve National Day (31st Aug)…. 1 hour before the fireworks at KLCC. It was a sight to behold…. when the fireworks were displayed. Stayed overnite in the hotel. KL folk stays in a hotel in KL. What an experience.
The inevitable price hike of gasoline has now realised but… damn. Its 30 sen (RM1.00 = 100 sen). The previous price per litre for normal petrol (RON 97) was RM1.62 (RM1.61 in Seremban according to Johnson). It is now RM1.92/litre. I thought it would raise only 10 sen. Shit. How much is diesel now? Anyone? Really, I don’t know. I’m not driving 530d (E60). Haha. Thats bee-mer.
They (the government) reduced road tax but raised gasoline price. They don’t waive road tax for vehicle below 1000cc for no reason. Good move for them. They can earn more in the long run.
Just when I thought of refilling petrol just now after dinner…. while I was driving to Shell… received an SMS from my uncle. “Go now to refill petrol. Price hike 30 sen after 12.00am” reads the sms. I thought it was a false alarm again because there was once (somewhere in 3rd quarter of 2005) an sms circulated on the news of petrol price hike for 10 sen/litre but petrol stations were like normal everyday business. Then it turned out to be a false alarm and I was fooled.
So, just now when I reached Shell… or should I say when I almost reach (long queue, I can’t even get into the station’s compound), I can see from far how bad was the queue. Made a U-turn and drove off. Fuck them off. Although a bit wasted… I mean, I’ve got to refill my tank anyway tomorrow morning… it’s just the feeling like being in the disadvantage, over-charged, conned.. whatever that made me screw someone.
So.. what can I do? Hmmm… alright. Good nite. Wanna sleep now. Oh sorry… good morning. Retreating now.
