This posting is to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the passing of the great John Lennon.

I may be not of that generation who grew up during the Beatlemania years, listening to the tunes of the legend, John Lennon and or his band, The Beatles but I’m proud to say that I’m an avid fan of the band and the legend himself. I listen to their songs (right now as I’m writing this, too) , in the car while stucked in a traffic jam somewhere in downtown KL and sometimes I even sing their songs while in shower.

Any of you heard of the idea “Learning English through songs” ?? My English teacher during secondary school, Cikgu Laila Rohana (some of you old friends should remember) introduced this to us and here I am. Hmm… some of you may think that idea is crap… but I can say.. it really works and benefited me. Their simple yet meaningful and good-to-hear songs make it easy to learn English. You would appreciate the Lennon/McCartney songwriting powerhouse creativity if you ever read their various songs lyrics. Trust me, YOUR MOTHER SHOULD KNOW !!

And in The End, he once chanted, “the love you take is equal to the love you make”. So let us continue his peace cause. Make love, not war.
